Product Manager

Product Manager

London, New York

Company Overview:

Model ML is the AI workflow builder transforming how major financial institutions produce and validate client-ready work. Model ML converts complex, manual processes into fully automated AI systems that scale across global teams. In under a year, Model ML has become one of the fastest growing enterprise AI platforms worldwide and recently closed a $75 million Series A, one of the largest fintech Series A rounds ever. The round was backed by FT Partners, Y Combinator, LocalGlobe, QED, 13books, and other top global investors, bringing total funding to $90 million.

About the role

We are looking for a Product Manager to own some of the most important parts of Model ML. You will work end‑to‑end: from customer discovery and problem framing, through scoping and design, to launch, iteration, and long‑term impact measurement.

This is not a ticket‑taking role. You will be expected to deeply understand how bankers, investors, and consultants actually work, then translate that into opinionated product bets. You will work closely with founders, designers, engineers, and customers to ship fast, learn from real usage, and continuously raise the bar on quality and reliability.

The ideal person is comfortable operating with high autonomy, has shipped meaningful product in fast‑moving environments, and can engage technically with engineers on architecture trade‑offs, data constraints, and AI behavior.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own a core area of the product end‑to‑end, from discovery and problem definition through to launch, adoption, and iteration

  • Spend meaningful time with users to deeply understand workflows, pain points, and mental models

  • Translate messy customer feedback and internal ideas into clear problem statements, sharp PRDs, and simple, opinionated product bets

  • Rapidly prototype solutions using tools like v0, Figma Make, and other no-code/low-code platforms to test ideas before engineering investment

  • Partner closely with engineering and design to scope, prioritize, and ship high‑quality features quickly, then refine based on real usage

  • Define success metrics, set up lightweight experiments (A/B tests, flags, UX iterations), and use data to drive decisions

  • Work with founders to shape roadmap priorities and communicate trade‑offs clearly to the team

  • Help debug product issues and quality problems across the stack (workflow design, UX, AI behavior, data quality) even if you are not the one writing the code

  • Create crisp written artefacts (docs, specs, release notes) that keep everyone aligned and moving fast

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in Product Management or a product‑focused role (PM, founder, tech lead with strong product ownership, or similar)

  • Proven ability to own a problem space end‑to‑end, from discovery through launch and iteration

  • Experience building products for complex or technical users (e.g. finance, data, developer, or B2B SaaS)

  • Strong product sense: can turn messy user feedback into clear problem definitions and sharp product requirements

  • Comfortable working directly with customers, running interviews, and turning qualitative insight into roadmap decisions

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a high‑velocity startup environment with changing priorities and incomplete information

  • Excellent written communication skills for specs, decisions, and internal alignment

Nice to have:

  • Experience in financial services (investment banking, private equity, consulting, asset management) or building tools for these users

  • Prior experience at an AI / data / developer tools company

  • Background as an engineer, data scientist, or in another technical role

What We Offer:

  • You will be reporting directly to the founders, who have two successful venture-backed exits under their belt.

  • Competitive salary + equity

  • Supportive and innovative work environment.

  • Opportunity to help shape and build a generational company

What you can expect:

  • It won't be easy; in fact, it will be very hard.

  • BUT, it will be a lot of fun.

  • You need to be comfortable with being uncomfortable; timelines will change, priorities will most likely shift.

To conclude, we're building a team of like-minded, incredibly smart, tenacious individuals with relentless work ethic and focus, all driving towards our very clear revolutionary mission. If you match this description, buy into that mission and you're at a career stage where you're ready to make your defining statement to the world, please apply.
