How we collect and use your personal information
ModelML Inc. collects personal information about website visitors and customers. With limited exceptions, this information is generally restricted to:
Name
Job title
Employer name
Work address
Work email address
Work phone number
We use this information to provide prospects and customers with our services. We do not sell personal information to anyone, and only share it with third parties who facilitate the delivery of our services.
From time to time, ModelML Inc. receives personal information about individuals from third parties. This typically includes further details about your employer or industry. We may also collect your personal data from third-party websites (e.g. LinkedIn).
Use of the Model ML website
As with most websites, ModelML Inc.'s website automatically collects certain information and stores it in log files. This may include internet protocol (IP) addresses, the region or general location from which your device is accessing the internet, browser type, operating system, and other usage information — including a history of pages you view.
We use this information to improve our site design and better serve our users' needs. We may also use your IP address to diagnose server issues, administer our website, analyse trends, track visitor movements, and gather broad demographic information to identify visitor preferences.
ModelML Inc. has a legitimate interest in understanding how customers and potential customers use its website. This helps us provide more relevant products and services, communicate value to our partners, and ensure appropriate staffing to meet customer needs.
Cookies and tracking technologies
ModelML Inc. provides a comprehensive cookie notice describing the cookies and tracking technologies used on our website, along with information on how to accept or reject them. This notice is available [here].
Sharing information with third parties
The personal information ModelML Inc. collects from you is stored in one or more databases hosted by third parties located in the United States. These third parties do not use or have access to your personal information for any purpose other than cloud storage and retrieval. On occasion, ModelML Inc. engages third parties to send you information about our products, services, and events.
We do not otherwise disclose your personal data to third parties for their independent use unless:
You request or authorise it;
It is required in connection with ModelML Inc.-hosted or co-sponsored events;
Disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law (for example, in response to a search warrant, subpoena, or court order), to enforce an agreement with you, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ModelML Inc., our employees, or others;
The information is provided to our agents, vendors, or service providers who perform functions on our behalf;
Disclosure is necessary to address emergencies; or
Disclosure is necessary to address disputes or claims, or to persons demonstrating legal authority to act on your behalf.
We may gather aggregated data about our services and website visitors and share the results of such aggregated (but not personally identifiable) information with partners, service providers, and other third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.
The Model ML website connects with third-party services such as LinkedIn and others. If you choose to share information from the Model ML website through these services, you should review the privacy policy of that service.
Data shared with AI models
Model ML interacts with OpenAI's API (see their privacy policy here). The only data shared with OpenAI is the input you feed directly into AI nodes when using Model ML. No other information is exposed to third-party AI providers. We ensure that data sent to third-party AI providers is never stored or used to train their models, and that these providers adhere to data protection and privacy standards comparable to our own.
Transferring personal data to the U.S.
ModelML Inc. is headquartered in the United States, and information we collect about you will be processed there. By using ModelML Inc.'s services, you acknowledge that your personal information will be processed in the United States.
The United States has not sought or received a finding of "adequacy" from the European Union under Article 45 of the GDPR. Pursuant to Article 46 of the GDPR, ModelML Inc. provides appropriate safeguards by entering into binding standard data protection clauses, enforceable by data subjects in the EEA and the UK.
Depending on the circumstances, ModelML Inc. may also collect and transfer personal data to the U.S. with your consent, to perform a contract with you, or to fulfil a compelling legitimate interest in a manner that does not outweigh your rights and freedoms. ModelML Inc. enters into data processing agreements and model clauses with its vendors wherever feasible and appropriate. Since its founding, ModelML Inc. has received zero government requests for information.
For more information, please contact us at info@modelml.com.
Data subject rights
The EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable privacy laws provide certain rights for data subjects. These include:
Right to be informed
Right of access
Right to rectification
Right to erasure
Right to restrict processing
Right to data portability
Right to object
Rights related to automated decision-making, including profiling
If you wish to confirm that ModelML Inc. is processing your personal data, or to access the personal data we hold about you, please contact us. You may also request information about the purpose of processing, the categories of personal data concerned, who outside ModelML Inc. may have received your data, the source of the information, and how long it will be stored.
You have the right to correct inaccurate personal data held by ModelML Inc., request erasure or cessation of processing (subject to certain exceptions), and request that we cease using your data for direct marketing purposes. Where technically feasible, ModelML Inc. will provide your personal data to you upon request.
Reasonable access to your personal data will be provided at no cost. If access cannot be provided within a reasonable timeframe, we will confirm when it will be made available. If access is denied, we will explain why.
For questions or complaints about how we process your personal data, contact us at info@modelml.com. If you are located in the European Union, you may also have recourse to the European Data Protection Supervisor or your national data protection authority.
Data storage and retention
Your personal data is stored on ModelML Inc.'s servers and on the servers of the cloud-based database management services we engage, located in the United States. ModelML Inc. retains service data for the duration of your business relationship with us, and for a period thereafter for operational, historical, and archiving purposes. Prospect data is retained until it no longer has business value and is purged from our systems.
We retain personal data and usage data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, or as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
By default, audio and video data is retained for 7 days after capture, and meeting metadata (including transcriptions) for 42 days after capture, after which it is permanently deleted. You may request earlier deletion, which results in audio and video data being deleted immediately, and metadata being deleted after 35 days.
