Welcome to Behind the Model — where we spotlight the people who are building the future of finance at Model ML. Get to know their stories, journeys, and what drives them. Interested in joining the team? Explore our openings here.
Milan spent most of his childhood in Bahrain, with time split between the US and Pakistan. He studied Neuroscience and Biology at university, driven by a long-standing love for science and analytical thinking.
Milan started his career at McKinsey in the Dubai and London offices, where he was pulled into much of the GenAI work happening across the firm, before moving into private equity to work on investments and evaluate football clubs across Europe.
He was drawn to Model ML after trying to build his own AI agents and automations for his own work and data, and realising that Model ML had already built what he was hoping to create.
What do you enjoy the most about working at Model ML?
Learning something new every day across tech, finance, startups, and what it actually takes to build and scale a company, as well as getting to work on something that has a genuine shot at changing how people work.
What’s your favourite use case?
Grids. It’s a less flashy part of the platform, but it quietly powers most of the interesting things we’re able to do. It turns what would normally be one-off chat interactions into something scalable, structured, and repeatable. Instead of running a single prompt at a time, you can run large, parallel LLM queries across data sources, generate and extract at scale, and actually build workflows that hold up in real client work.
What’s your favourite AI tool?
Notion: Quietly keeps both my professional and personal life from collapsing
