Role Overview

Model ML is seeking a Strategic Finance Analyst to join the Finance team at a critical growth phase of the company. This is an opportunity to play an integral role in both the build out of the Finance function and support our business and financial strategy.

This role will support financial analysis, reporting, client deliverables, and internal performance tracking through the application of financial modeling, accounting principles, and analytical methods. Across both internal operations and enterprise client use cases.

This role is ideal for someone making their first move from investment banking, private equity, consulting or corporate finance who wants exposure to high growth technology, sophisticated financial workflows and thrives in high intensity work environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

• Build and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis.

• Perform variance analysis and identify key business drivers and trends.

• Support preparation of board materials, investor reporting, and internal financial summaries.

• Conduct revenue and cost analysis to support pricing and enterprise contract evaluation.

• Assist with month end close support and financial reconciliation processes.

• Work with senior leadership to provide structured financial insights for decision making.

• Support financial due diligence processes related to fundraising and strategic initiatives.

• Assist enterprise clients with reviewing financial outputs, valuation models, and transaction related analyses generated through Model ML workflows.

• Prepare structured financial summaries, charts, and presentation materials for both internal and client use.

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure financial workflows reflect correct accounting logic and financial standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

• Minimum 18 months of professional experience in investment banking, accounting, private equity, consulting, or corporate finance.

• Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.

• Experience building and reviewing financial models in Excel or similar tools.

• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large data sets.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
